XC schooling pics

These are from 3 weeks ago, but better late than never. Look how warm and happy we were…

He’s always smiling

Does he ever close his mouth? No.

He was a very good pony that day, but then again he usually is. This is the same venue as our event this weekend so hopefully he remembers. Good news: the weather is supposed to warm up for the weekend. Bad news: 90% chance of thunderstorms on dressage/stadium day. Goody. Maybe Henry needs floaties like this guy?

    1. Eh. Even then it depends. Guinness “smiles” all the time. Or snarls. Whatever. 🙂 The only thing dressage people care about is whether it looks like the horse is trying to evade the bit or drop contact. As long as that isn’t happening, you’re good. I’ve actually watched a ton of upper level horses go around flapping their lips in time to their strides. It’s pretty fun!

  1. Floaties, muck boots, and a canoe. Yeesh, it’s like that show is CURSED!

I’ll be at home, nice and dry, in front of the fire. 😛

  2. How much fun is that! Clearly Henry isn’t ditchy! Ditches were always my downfall. I worried about them too much and psyched out my horse. 🙂 Good luck!!
